Partisan Review, Volume 8, Number 3 (VIII; May - June 1941) Bellow, Eliot
$250.00
This is a rather scarce issue of The Partisan review from May-June of 1941. It contains Two Morning Monologues, which is the first work in print by the author Saul Bellow. Also, this publication of The Dry Salvages by T. S. Eliot predates its inclusion in Four Quartets. Also includes the poetry of Allen Tate, photos of Miro's destroyed murals, a report from the war in France, James Burnham on The Managerial Revolution and Clement Greenberg on Paul Klee. Nice condition considering it's age, and it is rare to find in any state.
8vo, softcover wraps. 96pp. Blue + red titles (red spine). Black and white interior. Some requisite tanning, soiling of covers due to age. Light chipping at head and toe of spine. Light foxing inside. No other interior marks or loss to text. Binding is secure. Overall good condition for its age.
